Comprehensive Area AssessmentDuring 2009, the Government introduced a new way of inspecting and assessing how well local authorities, and their partners, understand and provide services for the people who live and work within their areas. This new process, known as Comprehensive Area Assessment, places a greater emphasis on how well organisations work together to provide the right kind of support and services to people, rather than just focusing on how good or otherwise single organisations are.The results of the assessment were published in December 2009 and can be found on the Audit Commission, Oneplace website, link opposite. You can also find out more about how the process was carried out in Cornwall from the Cornwall Council website, using the link opposite. Printer Friendly Version
